Walla Franchise
GOAL:
Expand the product and scale features up to a corporate level by creating a Franchise MVP. Have successful and competitive franchise features that will attract high-value/high-volume studios. Franchises are more likely to expand than churn, adding locations, driving revenue per location added and brand awareness and trust to Walla. Reframe permission levels to encapsulate the full picture of the franchise model while remaining customizable.
DETAILS:
In order to successfully adapt the current product to support a corporate/owner level of permissions and a holistic view of the company, a Franchise Dashboard was added for higher-level permissions (owner + BM) to provide an at-a-glance view of KPIs and metrics across all franchisees and locations. A full product audit was conducted to identify affected areas that would need restructuring to support both large and small-scale businesses. This ranged from client list, profiles, and plans, to POS and inventory. While not every nitty-gritty feature is shown below, this feature required all-hands-on-deck collaboration, agility, and communication to launch on a tight turnaround.
Franchise Dashboard: Provides a holistic view of KPIs and metrics within a given date range across all franchisees and locations.
Corporate Reports: Introduces the corporate reports tab in the report center. New reports include Fee Summary, Total Members, All Visits, and adaptations of existing reports.
New Business Settings: Corporate business settings allow franchise owners to manage franchisees and monthly fees. Global business settings allow for stricter plan-to-location relationships, including purchase location.
SELECTED SUB FEATURE:
Lock to View One Location at a Time
Goal: Allow all businesses the setting to limit their clients' view on the widget and app to one location at a time. Created with franchises in mind, this setting gives all businesses the flexibility to choose how their memberships function across locations.
Focused view: Provides a focused view to clients browsing and booking on the class schedule, opening to their most recently booked location upon app launch.
Customizable: This setting is intended to be fully customizable and applicable to non-franchise, multi-location businesses, giving flexibility in plan-to-location association.
Widget Integration: Select location to book classes and appointments and purchase plans directly through the studio website via the Walla Widget. Location-to-plan relationship settings are enforced upon booking, if a client wants to attend a location their membership is not associated with, they will have the option to pay a drop-in fee.
